In vitro-evolved FLP recombinase (FLPe) was placed under the control of the chicken--actin promoter and an hCMV immediate early enhancer (CAG). The use of the chimeric CMV enhancer/-actin promoter leads to ubiquitous expression. The FLPe recombinase carries a minimal, nuclear localization signal from the SV40 larger T antigen and a synthetic polyadenylation signal downstream of the FLPe. (J:129691)
