Exons 16-18 of Arhgef12 were flanked with loxP sites with a frt-flanked neomycin cassette inserted for targeting purposes. The neomycin cassette was later deleted by crossing with Flpe transgenic mice. Gene expression was unaffected as determined by western blotting of cortex lysates. Upon expression of cre recombinase, a null allele is created. (J:149560)
