The transgenic construct contained the entire wild-type human SERPINA1 gene (AAT, alpha1-antitrypsin) with 2.0 and 2.3 kb of 5' and 3' genomic sequences, respectively. Multiple founder lines were generated and M2.03 with 50 copies of the transgene was chosen for the representative line. Efficient expression of SERPINA1 in mouse liver was obtained. (J:149133)
