Exons 8-12 of the locus were replaced by a self-excising floxed neomycin and cre recombinase expression cassette. Genomic PCR on homozygotes confirmed deletion of both the exons and the selection cassette. Northern and Western blots on homozygote thymi extracts confirmed gene inactivation. (J:148034)
