The targeting construct was designed to insert an IRES-Cre-pA cassette in the 3' UTR of the Egr3 gene. Electroporation of the targeting vector into W9.5 ES cells. Clones were analyzed for homologous recombination, and positive clones were injected into C57BL/6 blastocysts to generate chimeric founders. This allele preserves expression of the endogenous Egr3 gene and expresses cre under control of the Egr3 promoter. (J:147957)
