A Cre-expression cassette, followed by a polyadenylation sequence to terminate transcription of the fusion transcript immediately after the recombinase gene, was inserted into a BAC vector at the initiating ATG codon in the first coding exon of the gene. Mice show both a slightly different cre expression pattern from ET33 mice, likely due to transient expression during development. (J:145110)
