Muc16^tm1Bhr

A 6 kb fragment including most of exon 3 and part of intron 3 was replaced with an IRES-T-lacZpA-loxP-PGKneobpA- loxP reporter cassette via homologous recombination. No lacZ expression was detected. RT-PCR confirmed the absence of transcripts containing exon 3 but detected alternatively spliced transcripts in the testis of homozygous mice. RT-PCR also confirmed the absence of all expression in the lung, ovary and oviduct from homozygous mice. Immunofluorescence did not detect protein expression in the testis from homozygous mice.
