Germ line, cre mediated recombination was used to remove the neo cassette and exon 3. Deletion of this exon results in a frame-shift mutation and premature termination in the CR1 domain. The absence of protein expression was confirmed by western blot analysis on E11.5 embryo extracts. (J:146415)
