A floxed monomeric RFP gene with a stop codon was placed upstream of a GFP reporter gene. The transgene was put under the control of the ubiquitous chick actin promoter. Upon expression of Cre recombinase, the mRFP-stop cassette is excised and GFP expression is driven by the CAG promoter. (J:146140)
