The gene trap vector, containing a beta-geo cassette, inserted at nucleotide 410 within exon 2. The absence of transcript expression was confirmed by RT-PCR analysis on brain extracts. Note transcript expression of the flanking gene is normal as confirmed by RT-PCR analysis on brain and skeletal muscle extracts. (J:146155)
