LoxP sites were introduced 5' and 3' of exon 8 and an FRT site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette was introduced downstream of the 3' loxP site in intron 8. The neo cassette was then removed by Flp-mediated recombination leaving behind a single FRT site. (J:145941)
