A Frt-flanked neomycin resistance cassette and a stop codon were inserted into exon 1. The neomycin cassette was removed by transient expression of Flpe recombinase. Gene inactivation was confirmed by flow cytometry and immunoblot analysis of splenic natural killer (NK) cells from homozygote mice. Expression of other SLAM family members were unaffected on NK cells. (J:145969)
