A floxed IRES-beta-geo cassette with a polyadenylation sequence was inserted into the exon encoding amino acids Thr-90 through Lys-201. Transient cre expression was used to remove the IRES-beta-geo cassette. The absence of protein expression was confirmed by western blot analysis on mouse embryonic fibroblasts. (J:81138, J:145534)
