Sequences for both the long and short arms of the targeting vector were derived from RPCI-21-510M19 (PAC clone). A floxed PGK-neomycin resistance cassette replaced exons 2, 3, 4, and part of exon 5. RT-PCR analysis indicated the absence of full length transcript in the brain. A much shorter, truncated downstream message was detected. (J:145599)
