A targeting vector was designed to delete 2.5 kb of the exon containing entire open-reading frame. A floxed neo replaced the sequence and was subsequently excised by crossing with mice expressing Cre in the germ line. Western blot of mutant brain samples showed no bands corresponding to Slitrk1 protein. (J:145441)
