Pold1 mice were crossed to transgenic mice expressing Tg(Sycp1-cre)1Uchi. Germline expression of cre results in excision of the SV40 splice/polyadenylation signal and neomycin resistance cassette. The resulting allele codes for protein in which 3'-5' exonuclease activity is deficient. (J:144992)
