A 2 kb fragment including both exons 1 and 2 was replaced with a neo cassette via homologous recombination. RT-PCR and radioimmunoassay confirm the absence of RNA and protein expression in the hypothalamus and medulla oblongata of homozygous mice. (J:144729)
