A loxP site was inserted upstream of the exon specific for the Kalrn-7 isoform, and an frt-flanked neo cassette with a 3' loxP site was inserted downstream of the exon. Germ line, flp-mediated recombination was used to remove the neo cassette leaving the isoform specific exon floxed. (J:142364)
