Exons 2-5 were replaced with a floxed neomycin cassette. Founder mice were crossed with Tg(CMV-cre)1Cgn/J transgenic mice to remove the floxed neo cassette, leaving behind a single loxP site. Correct targeting and removal of the neo cassette was confirmed by Southern blot. (J:143900)
