This transgene consists of a 3.5 kb fragment of the human THY1 promoter/enhancer region, a 0.7 kb cDNA encoding the human APOD gene, and a 0.2 kb fragment encoding the bovine growth hormone consensus polyadenylation signal. Northern blot analysis indicates strong expression in the central nervous system and weaker expression in the thymus and heart. (J:143809)
