The genomic sequence spanning part of exon 1 through exon 7 was replaced with a GFP gene and a floxed neo cassette. The neo cassette was removed by cre-mediated recombination. Absence of protein expression was confirmed by western blot analysis on KCl stimulated cortical neuron extracts. (J:143367)
