Exon 6 was replace with one containing sequence encoding for 13 amino acids of the Il2ra intracellular domain followed by a floxed neo cassette. Germ line, cre mediated recombination was used to remove the neo cassette. This allele encodes a fusion product containing the extracellular domain of Il15ra and the intracellular domain of Il2ra.
