A floxed construct containing lacZ and an FRT flanked neomycin selection cassette was inserted at the second ATG in the first coding exon. Expression of the lacZ reporter is very low. RT-PCR indicated the absence of mRNA and Western blot analysis indicated that no protein is produced. (J:142596)
