The human promoter was used to drive ubiquitous expression of GFP and a short hairpin RNA targeting Cldn16. Three lines were created (lines 453, 551 and 756) with line 756 exhibiting no knockdown effect with the other two lines down regulating transcript expression by greater than 100-fold as determined by real time quantitative RT-PCR.
