LoxP sites were placed around a 355 bp fragment including 73 bp of intron 6, all of exon 7, and 69 bp of intron 7 plus an IRES betageo cassette via homologous recombination. Immunoblot analysis indicated decreased protein expression in liver, kidney, and colon from homozygous mice (J:141998)
