Leucine 146 and Leucine 148 encoded by exon 4 were mutated to glycine and alanine respectively. A floxed PGK-hygro cassette was introduced into intron 4. Transient expression of cre recombinase subsequently removed the selection cassette from correctly targeted ES cells. (J:141589)
