A loxP site was inserted 168 bp upstream of the first ATG codon in exon 1 and an frt flanked neo cassette and second loxP were inserted downstream of exon 1 via homologous recombination. The neo cassette was removed via in vivo flp-mediated recombination. (J:141487)
