The targeting vector MHPP80o18, which contains an agouti minigene and puromycin resistance cassette, was inserted between exons 7 and 10 via gap repair and disrupts exons 12 through 16 while exons 1 through 10 remain intact. This allele is hypomorphic as determined by western blot analysis of heterozygous tissue extracts. (J:141467)
