Exon 2, which contains the ATG start codon, was floxed by the following construct. A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 2, and a loxP site and a Frt-flanked neomycin cassette was inserted downstream of exon 2. Correct targeting was confirmed by genomic PCR. (J:140870)
