Foxp3^tm1(cre)Saka

An IRES-cre cassette and a frt-flanked neomycin resistance marker were placed into the last exon of the gene immediately after the TGA stop codon. Hemizygous male mice had slightly lower amounts of the FoxP3 gene product than controls, as determined by flow cytometry on freshly isolated lymphocytes. Crossing with cre-reporter transgenic mice demonstrates that cre expression was confined to about 15% of CD4+ T cells and ~1.5% of CD8+ T cells. (J:140085)
