A loxP site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette was inserted into intron 6 and exon 7 was replaced with one in which nucleotide substitutions (CGA-to-TCT) resulted in an amino acid substitution of arginine with serine at position 246 (p.R246S). Transient cre expression was used to remove the neo cassette. (J:139780)
