A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 2 and a floxed neo cassette was inserted downstream of exon 4. Transient cre expression in ES cells was used to remove the neo cassette and exons 2 through 4. The absence of protein expression as confirmed by western blot analysis on testis extracts. (J:139646)
