LoxP sites were inserted around exon 8 and a frt-flanked neomycin cassette was inserted in the intronic sequence between exons 8 and 9. Progeny were crossed with transgenic mice expressing Flp-recombinase in order to remove the neomycin resistance cassette. (J:139245)
