A floxed neo cassette was inserted about 800 bp upstream of exon 1b and a third loxP site was inserted approximately 1.8 kp downstream of exon 1b. In vivo cre-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette and exon 1b. Western blot analysis of MEFs confirmed the absence of expression of the E2f3b isoform with retention of expression of the E2f3a isoform. (J:138289)
