A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 12 and a floxed neo cassette was inserted downstream of exon 12. Transient cre expression in ES cells resulted in removal of exon 12 and the neo cassette. The expression of a truncated transcript was confirmed by RT-PCR analysis. (J:137743)
