Exons 5 and 6 corresponding to 950 bp coding sequence are removed after crossing Gm114tm1Cpl heterozygous mice with cre expressing mice leaving a single loxP site in place and generating a stop codon the beginning of exon 7. Truncated transcripts were expressed in testes, however western blot confirmed no C-terminal end containing protein were expressed. (J:136802)
