A puromycin resistance gene followed by the Hprt minigene with polyadenylation sequence was inserted downstream of exon 16. The insertion is accompanied by a duplication of exons 11 through 16 in addition to premature truncation of the coding region following the Hprt minigene thereby preventing translation of the exons encoding the CUB domain. Expression of the truncated fusion product was confirmed by western blot analysis on brain extracts. (J:136534)
