A transgenic construct containing the entire mouse (AKR/J strain) H2-Ab1 kappa genomic DNA sequence was microinjected into (C57BL/6 x SJL)F2 embryos, generating line Aalpha62. Line 62 was crossed to mice carrying Tg(H2-Aa)26Dim and the resulting double transgenic line was donated to The Jackson Laboratory. The construct was also injected into C57BL/6 embryos to have the transgene on a homogeneous genetic background. Line 42 was established (Aalpha42). S1-mapping shows normal patterns of high expression in spleen, lung and thymus. (J:110897)
