A transgene containing a Foxo1 cDNA with a truncation at amino acid position 256 followed by an IRES-GFP and driven by the CAGGS promoter (chicken beta actin promoter with CMV enhancers) was inserted into intron 1. An interviening floxed neo-STOP cassette prevents expression of the truncated Foxo1 cDNA except in the presence of cre when the floxed neo-STOP cassette is excised. (J:134336)
