The chicken beta-actin promoter modified with the CMV enhancer (CAG) was used to drive ubiquitous expression of mouse Lama1. Thirteen founder mice were identified, 5 of which exhibited expression in the skeletal muscle. Line 12 exhibited the highest level skeletal muscle expression and was chosen for further analysis.
