The gene trap vector pGT1lxf that contains the beta-geo cassette was inserted between exon 10 and 11. This allele is a reporter allele and a hypomorphic allele with reduced expression in the brain (80% reduction), liver (70% reduction) and spleen (50% reduction) of homozygotes as detected by semi-quantitative RT-PCR.
