A gene trap vector containing a beta-geo cassette was inserted into intron 4 between exon 4 and exon 5. The insertion creates a 163 KDa fusion protein that contains the N-terminus and acidic domain to the beta-galactosidase and neo coding regions. The presence of the fusion protein was confirmed by western blot analysis. This allele is also a reporter allele. (J:133931)
