Del(6Ephb6-Trpv6)1Mhed

Part of intron 6, exon 7 and exon 8 and part of exon 9 were replaced with a neo cassette. This replaces most of the coding region from the transmembrane domain to the end of the protein. The absence of protein product was confirmed by western blot analysis on intestine extracts. The gene targeting also replaces the last 4 exons of Ephb6 that encode the SAM domain and part of the kinase domain. No molecular evidence is presented as to the effect of this deletion. (J:133151)
