An frt-flanked neo cassette with a 3' loxP site was inserted into intron 1 and an additional loxP site was inserted into the 3' untranslated region in exon 2. Germ-line, flp-mediated recombiation was used to remove the neo cassette leaving the open reading frame floxed. (J:132771)
