A cassette containing an IRES, human AFP and polyadenylation signal was inserted into the 3' untranslated region along with a floxed neo cassette and resulted in a duplication of exon 13 through part of exon 18. The neo cassette was removed by transient cre expression. Expression of AFP was confirmed by a quantitative immunoassay. (J:132096)
