An frt-flanked neo cassette with a 5' loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 4 and an additional loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 1. Germ-line flp-mediate recombination was used to remove the neo cassette leaving exons 1 through 4 floxed. (J:131834)
