Part of exon 1, intron 1 and part 2 were replaced with a lacZ cassette and a floxed hygro cassette. Exon 2 contains a small deletion of nucleotides encoding for amino acids 141 to 184, a homeobox. The hygro cassette was removed by subsequent cre-recombination. (J:131435)
