A floxed neo cassette was inserted downstream of exon 1 and an additional loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 1. Transient expression of cre recombinase removed the neo cassette and exon 1. The absence of protein product was confirmed by western blot analysis on total thymocyte extracts. (J:131287)
