A transgenic construct containing the human immunoglobulin heavy gene and a second transgenic construct containing the human immunoglobulin light gene were co-injected into fertilized oocytes. These transgenic mice express and secrete a complete functional human IgG, immunoglobulin and are naturally tolerant to human IgG. Progeny mice with the highest titers of assembled human IgG were chosen for further breeding and maintenance of the strain on the C57BL/6 background. (J:131009)
