Frs2^tm1.1Fwan

Frs2tm1Fwan mice were crossed with Cre knockin mice to generate a null allele in the germline. A truncated gene transcript was confirmed by RNAse protection assay on heterozygote kidney extracts. Heterozygotes were indistinguishabe from wild-type mice, suggesting that the truncated transcript did not encode for a dominant-negative protein. (J:128712)
